LOOKING AT A BOW PACKAGE?

Ordering your new bow package requires decisions.  Some decisions are personal preference (colors, accessories, etc.), while other decisions require careful attention.  Decisions such as draw length and weight are critical to be on point so that the bow fits you perfectly and comfortably.

DO YOU NEED A RIGHT OR LEFT HAND BOW?

Usually a right handed person shoots a right hand bow, and left handed people shoot left hand bows.  It seems simple, but this is not always the case.

If you've never shot before, there's a chance that you may not know that a right hand bow is actually held in the left hand, and drawn back with the right.  The opposite goes for a left hand bow.  You have to choose the orientation of the bow based on the arm that draws the bow (not the hand that grips it).

Although this is generally how things are done, some people choose to shoot a left or right hand bow based on their eye dominance instead.  Interested in this method?  Click here to learn more about eye dominance and bows.

WHAT'S YOUR DRAW LENGTH?

Before a bow package leaves our shop, we're sure to set your draw length to the appropriate measurement.  If you already know your draw length, then you're set.  If not, measure your arm span in inches, and divide it by 2.5.  Doing so will give you a good idea of what your draw length is.
